A2 used to show that it is you who is affected by an action:

Don’t cut yourself with that sharp knife.

used to give more attention to the word ‘you’:

Did you make the dress yourself?
by yourself/yourselves

A2 alone or without anyone else’s help:

I’m amazed you managed to move those boxes all by yourself.

used when both the subject and object of the verb are ‘you’, and ‘you’ is also being used to refer to people generally:

You tell yourself everything’s all right but you know it’s not really.
