Definition

a shirt, esp. one that is part of a uniform: I have to wash my daughter’s softball jersey. Jersey is also a type of soft, knitted cloth: She was dressed in a jersey top and jeans. She wanted a wintry fabric such as flannel, heavy jersey, or merino wool.
