Definition

a system, started by IATA (= International Air Transport Association), used in the industry of transporting goods, that allows processes and communication to be done by computer rather than on paper: In response to price competition, IATA is aiming to cut costs through its e-freight programme. The e-freight system simplifies the cargo business, removing costs of paper printing and allowing customers to see the location of their goods over the internet.
