Well, despite last month's appeal, there's still a very static feel to May's top 20. The top 4 remain the same - maybe if you're one of the 3730 people who searched for serendipity last month, you could mail us and tell us what you like about the word so much. Fortunately, there's some action at the bottom of the table, regard and inform coming in at the expense of perpetrate and sarcasm. Strangely, considering the World Cup has just started, jingoism drops out of the top 10. Finally, on a more serious note, I have to report an attempt to sabotage the top 20: between 3.52 pm on the 16th and 7.41 am on the 17th, over 3000 searches for apple were logged from the same computer. Fortunately the fiendish plan did not work, and your top 20 remains pure.
