A new month, a new season, a new look for Cambridge Dictionaries Online...same old Top 20 Words. OK, there's some change - paradigm, which always seems to do well when we change the site design, shoots up to no. 6, and it's good to see an entry from the Cambridge International Dictionary of Idioms, be up to something, coming in at no. 17.
There's not much else to comment on, though, so I'll focus on the results of last month's competition. The five entries with hidden links in the page were lozenge, crepuscular, halcyon days, phosphorecent and inexorable. Some were quite fiendlishly hidden - I thought I might have made it too hard, so I was pleasantly surprised by the number of correct entries that came pouring in. There were a lot of good favourite words too - zenith, ethereal, globular, sonorous...but my favourite (of your favourites) was the very lovely translucent, as chosen by Michael Snehota of the Czech Republic. Congratulations Michael, you will soon be receiving a copy of the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary with CD-ROM!
