Last month's number one, sniper, drops straight out of the top 20, and with no major news stories
grabbing our users' attention, advice, which has hung around the top 10 for the last few months, finally
gets its turn in the spotlight. It's frequently confused with advise: remember, it's -ise for the
verb, and -ice for the noun. Just think practice and practise. Oh, hang on...
Interestingly, two synonyms, evade and elude, both enter the top 20 for the first time,
and it's a welcome return for serendipity, our all-time most-popular word.
