the feeling of not being comfortable, either from a physical cause or from a situation, or something that causes this feeling:

[ U ] It’s clear that both parties have some degree of discomfort with the idea.
[ U ] She laughed at his discomfort (= embarrassment).

Discomfort is also pain, usually not severe:

[ U ] I could move my arm, but I had a lot of discomfort.
